Brie, Bacon, and Apple Crostini

1 loaf baguette bread

1 or 2 Granny Smith apples depending upon size

6 oz. Brie Cheese with rind

8 slices of bacon

 

Cut bread at slight angle into bite size slices

Toast bread at 350 degrees for 5 minutes

Allow bread to cool to room temperature

Slice bacon into thin strips and cook in pan over medium heat until crisp

Drain bacon on paper towel. Reserve bacon drippings for future use if needed

Slice apple with skin on into thin bite size pieces

Cut brie into pieces the same size or just smaller than apple slices

Assemble crostini with apple, brie and a pinch of bacon pieces

Bake at 350 for 3 minutes or until brie cheese is melted
